VR technology is to date associated with specialized hardware for tracking, rendering and interaction. The use smartphone for VR simulation is limited due to the lack of dedicated tracking solution and the processing power. However, the smartphone are becoming powerful in terms of processing power with every passing day. The major application of Smartphone VR are in the entertainment field i.e. games or 3D videos visualisation.

If the smartphone can be equipped with the ability to track not only the head orientation of the user, but also the position in the space, it can indeed open new innovative application for smartphone VR in industry.
